Caresyntax Expands Footprint in South Florida Hospital Market with Med-Lab Supply Partnership

Caresyntax® Inc. announced that Miami-based Med-Lab Supply, which focuses on the sales, installation and service of diagnostic imaging systems, will act as the exclusive salesforce and distributor of caresyntax’s surgical performance management software in South Florida.

Med-Lab announced that its first installation of caresyntax technology is underway at Delray Medical Center, a 493-bed acute care hospital and a Level I Trauma Center in South Palm Beach County that specializes in cardiac care, orthopedics, rehabilitation, neurosciences and emergency care.

“Caresyntax is a pioneer in the field of surgical analytics,” said Lucas Diaz, Owner and Director, Business Development, Med-Lab. “Its innovative technology and our expertise of the healthcare landscape in South Florida make an ideal match for hospitals and health systems seeking to effectively deliver quality improvements and favorable patient outcomes.”

Caresyntax is an integration and services platform that helps reduce risk and improve surgical outcomes.  Through medical device and systems integration, caresyntax aggregates and structures diverse clinical data sources into a unified repository, driving risk assessment, surgical quality management, and heightened operational efficiencies.

“While capturing video is important, the real improvements are found in the data as a result of the surgical software,” said Dr. Brijeshwar Maini, M.D., FACC (Fellow American College of Cardiology).  “That’s how we drive risk management and set best practices. That’s where we improve patient outcomes.”

“Med-Lab is committed to exceptional professionalism and has a long, proven history in healthcare sales, distribution and installations,” said Dennis Kogan, caresyntax CEO. “This partnership gives us a significant foothold in one of the largest and most innovative healthcare hubs in the country.”

Caresyntax’s integration and surgical intelligence platform is used in nearly 6,000 operating rooms (ORs) at 1,800 hospitals in 74 countries, and supports more than 10 million procedures per year.

Its proprietary OR integration platform, PRIME365, aggregates key, unstructured inter-procedural data, including videos, enriches that data with EHR integrations, and structures the accumulation of data sources within a comprehensive interface to provide clinicians with the complete patient and procedural context. This heightened visibility provides clinicians with the actionable insights required to improve workflow, stratify risk, and address the root-causes of surgical outcome variability.
