GE Healthcare Earns ONC Health IT Certification from Drummond Group LLC

GE Healthcare announced that Centricity Practice Solution and Centricity Electronic Medical Record (EMR) have been certified to the ONC 2015 Edition certification criteria, the most recent ONC criteria available. This certification will assist eligible healthcare professionals and clinicians in attesting for Stage 3 Meaningful Use measures and fully implemented Medicare Incentive Payment System (MIPS) measures.

The Meaningful Use measures from the Medicare and Medicaid Quality Payment programs were designed to allow healthcare professionals to demonstrate that they are using certified electronic health record (EHR) technology in ways that measurably enhance healthcare quality and cost. Successful participation in these programs is accompanied by positive payment incentives.

GE Healthcare has focused on integrating the capabilities associated with the ONC 2015 Edition criteria into its EHR workflow solutions, creating a more seamless experience – making scheduling, payment and patient interactions more open and connected.

“As the industry continues its aim toward truly value-based care, it is critical that digital solutions offer seamless and secure ways for healthcare organizations and clinicians to help drive that change in ways that meet their patients’ needs,” said Geoffrey Lay, Director for Digital Product Management at GE Healthcare.

To facilitate interoperability with other solutions, GE has implemented 35 Application Program Interfaces (APIs) in these EHR solutions, including 35 open APIs specifically required by ONC 2015 certification criteria. These standards-based APIs enable apps and other IT solutions to utilize data from GE EHRs and, in some cases, integrate seamlessly with the GE solutions.

Centricity Practice Solution and Centricity EMR are compliant with specific ONC 2015 Edition criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. Centricity Practice Solution and Centricity EMR received certifications Drummond Group LLC, an ONC Authorized Certification Body (ACB). The ONC 2015 Edition criteria support fully-implemented and transitional MIPS measures as well as Stage 2 and Stage 3 meaningful use measures.

GE Healthcare certified EHR solutions for EPs are used across a wide range of healthcare delivery organizations, from small and large physician practices, to Federally Qualified Health Centers and Community Health Centers, to multi-specialty clinics with hundreds of providers.

This Health IT Module is 2015 Edition compliant and has been certified by an ONC-ACB in accordance with the applicable certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. This certification does not represent an endorsement by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.”
